The wet weather in Sepang today was particularly frustrating for Repsol Honda rider Nicky Hayden, who was planning to test the 2005 and 2006 RCVs back to back.

The regularly changing conditions made it hard to gauge the differences between the two machines reliably as a result of the changing grip on the track. Hayden was one of a few riders who opted to keep riding during some of the wet weather and completed 60 laps, compared to teammate Pedrosa's 35. Nicky was 10th fastest today with a 2'02.86, his joint quickest time of the test having completed the exact same time on day one. Pedrosa's quickest time of the day was a 2'02.68 which was the 9th fastest time today and eight tenths of a second slower than his best time of the test, which he achieved on day one.
