Carlos Checa has continued to impress over the course of the Sepang test, but for Brit teammate James Ellison it has been a week he would like to forget.

Although this week has only been Checa's second chance to get used to his new Dunlop-shod Yamaha M1, the Spanish rider seems to have quickly found his stride, being the sixth fastest rider on day two of the test with a 2'02.06. James Ellison, on the other hand, has had difficulty adapting his riding style to the M1, a significantly more powerful bike than the WCM he rode last year. The ex-superbike rider has been disappointed with his test, being stuck firmly to the bottom of the timesheets throughout with a best time of 2'04.65.
