Work has started on improvements to the Laguna Seca circuit in California, the bulk of which includes extra run off, track resurfacing and a new hospitality centre.

The work will cost almost $7 million and will be completed before this years MotoGP race on the 23rd of July.

The American circuit returned to the MotoGP calender for the first time in 10 years last season, after improvements were made so that the track would meet todays safety requirements. Despite the changes made, several riders still felt that safety was an issue, and they will be hoping the current work improves thnigs further.Fans of the circuit will be pleased to know that apart from the resurfacing, no adjustments are being made to the track itself and the famous 'corkscrew' will remain unchanged.

Pictures of the work are available at Laguna-Seca.com (http://www.laguna-seca.com/PressReleases/index.cfm?ID=199).Read the full article. (http://www.motoreview.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=142&Itemid=29)
