I just caught the tail end of superpole for tomorrow's race. Looks like Bayliss will really be a force to be reckoned with this year, as he took a very comfortable pole position. Toseland managed fourth and will hopefully be putting last season behind him and Barros looks to be happy on his new Honda (which has one of the nicest paintjobs I've seen in a while).

Muggeridge didn't get his season off to a very good start as he lost the front after recording a first sector about 4 tenths faster than anyone elses. He looked alright but the mechanics will be doing overtime tonight.

It looks as though it'll be a good season for SBK this year. :D

Spoilers below if you haven't watched todays races yet...

Now that is a good start to the season, certainly one right up there with the Jerez GP last year. It looks as though Corser won't be running away with this one, although he was the better rider in race two (amazing last couple of laps though ). Can't help but feel for Kagayama though - knocked off in race one and no points in race two. That said it did have the nice consequence of gifting Toseland a race win, although his ride was pretty impressive regardless, coming up from 10th to 3rd.

Of the MotoGP refugees, Bayliss is still looking quickest but I reckon Barros will be getting quicker as the season goes on. Robby Rolfo is looking pretty good too.

Here's hoping MotoGP can start with a bang like this for 2006, too. :D
