Anyone got any particular favourites so far? I think I'm developing a soft spot for the matt black R1. In fact I think I want a proper one.

These are in no particular order.

Favorite street bikes:

Triumph Daytona 650 (set a 7:45.7 at the 'ring w/ "Performance tires" and a "Sports muffler" which looks a hell of a lot like a Micron system)
Ducati 999R (obviously)
Yamaha RZ250 (I ride an RZ350 in real life)
Yamaha TZR250 '85 (looks and goes more like my RZ than the RZ250 does)
Yamaha FZR400 (I've always wanted a real one but never found one that wasn't nackered)

Favorite race bikes:

Ducati 999R RM (obviously)
Honda NSR400R RM (always ride that one with Freddy's helmet)
Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 (good lord almighty this thing is frickin' fast)

I'm still a little bitter that there's no Daytona 675, but I expect I'll get over it eventually.

i like the r1's personally. i know the suzuka 8 hour bikes are the fastest, but, so far my fastest laps around valencia (current addiction) is on a yzf-r1 rm.

but, i like all of japan, inc.s litre and 600cc bikes (zx/gsxr/r1/fzf) rm versions. the 999r rm is very stable and the powerband is very smoooooooooth. i want to like the rsv1000 factory rm, but, the steerings too heavy. and the powers a bit harsher than the ducati.

the 8 hour bikes (ive three of 5: moriwaki, trick star, and ysp & presto) are awesome execpt for the power delivery on the tricky kwack. it just instintaly spins the rear wheel.

Surprisingly (for me) I am hugely enjoying the GPZ400 Race model. Super-responsive to tightening apexes, of which there are several in the original tracks. Very wide power band too, quite easy to hold a gear through a double-apex. Mid-field is a ball on this bike. The lap time may be way short of the full race ZX10R, but it's far more immersive, in that it makes you work for every 10th/sec.
I'm also hooked on the full-race NS400 at Autumn Ring Mini. I figured it would be the perfect blend of lightness, throwability and mid-range grunt, and sure enough I was in the 40's within 3 laps. You can hit the same turn-in points every lap easily, and play with the contact patch on exit. Nice bike. Once I have a truly perfect lap on this bike I'll put up a replay for perusal.
The toughest time I have is finding time, but put together a couple of hours and this game is truly kick-arse.
