Champ: I would say Nicky Hayden as he showed some of the grit he seems to have been lacking in past seasons. Very good to see him try and fight back as soon as Rossi overtook and then to push right to to the flag. An honourable mention to James Ellison for being on almost level terms with Checa during the race - nicely done fella. :D
Chump: Could it be anyone but the Suzukis? A weekend to forget.
Ooh and understatement of the week goes to Paul Denning for describing Hopkins as 'visibly upset'.

Champs:
Rossi. Clearly still having difficulties, still put it on the top. Interesting that the chatter lessened markedly as the tyre wore. I'm sure tyre manufacturers were listening to that observation.
Hayden. The lad's making every podium now, but still seems to lack a little killer instinct. It'll come hopefully. Stick it in there!
Stoner. Bike was completely rooted (as was he) by 1/2 way, he still brought it home in a very respectable position. You could see him fighting the thing. Well done, the future's bright.
Chumps:
Suzuki. Despite my being a Suzuki guy, I'm flabbergasted they couldn't keep the engines tight. I hope they're putting more thought into the 800!
Gibernau. When dude, when?
I can't wait to see how Stoner does over the next few races. I mean he was ill this weekend and has still had quite a bit less time on the bike than the other rookies have had on theirs and still he managed to put in a performance that good.
I guess he was too hard on the tyres at the start of the race or just had too soft a compound, either way - chalk it up to experience and head to Istanbul with a confidence boost. I still think Pedrosa will be the quickest of the rookies this year but it will be good to see how close Casey can be.
Stoner lacking a little fitness, don't think it was tyre compound.
Rossi hungry to get things off the ground.
Gibernau - I'm sure just happy to finish the race in a respectable position.
Suzuki's - Mmmm, well, wouldn't you be frustrated. I don't think kicking your new sponsors logo's is gonna help the cause. SUZUKI JUST FIX THE DAMNED BIKE !!!
Capirex - Just keep chalking in the points buddy.
Melandri vs Pedrosa - Lets bring the fight to the front. Nice to see guys !!
Champ = Rossi
Chump = Politically correct Mr. P. Denning
Chump 2 = Baiggi, sitting at home picking his nose, watching the race on telly.

 I just had a quick look at Max's official site and from the sounds of the last post he's still very much unemployed. Some would say being a nice guy doesn't help in racing, but Biaggi's a pretty good example of why that should definitely only apply to what goes on on the track. I don't really have anything against the guy, but man does he know how to put his foot in his mouth.
