After a whole lot of hours the Tourist Trophy replays (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/) site is live.
I've only just put the finishing touches on it and lap times are still on the to do list, but everything should now be working nicely so it will be much easier to to browse various different replays as well to setup some competitions.
As well as being able to browse by bike and circuit, the search feature makes it possible for you to come up with any weird and wonderful selection of requirements and every replay that matches will be dragged kicking and screaming from the database for your enjoyment.
The 'tag' feature will hopefully come in handy as it will make it possible to share a selection of replays from the same competition or in whatever group you would like. For instance I tagged my recent Trial Mountain replay with 'motodude-tm (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/bytag.php/motodude-tm) and if everyone else who shared their replay of the Fireblade at Trial Mountain tagged theirs the same they would all appear in the same list.
In addition to the new site I've also added a new forum called the pitlane (http://www.motogpboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15). This forum will be purely for posting challenges and commenting on other replays and is linked with the new site in that each replay can be linked to a thread on this forum. To get an idea how this works see the 'discuss' link on this replay (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/16).
Finally everyone who uploads a replay to the site gets their own profile page (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/user.php/2) which lists all of the replays they have submitted so far. It is also possible to specify your user ID on the forums when you register at the site, and if you do a link like this will appear on your profile page:
You can send Dom a private message through our forums.
This is a good secure way of making it possible to be contacted as your email address is never seen by whoever sends a message.
I think that's about it for the main features, but if anyone's got any questions about specific things or the inevitable goes and happens and something's broken then let me know. I'll give it a little while to make sure everything's running smoothly and then I'll post a link on the main site as well as in a few other places.
So, what do you reckon? ;)
