sweet bike. im sure everyone knows the history/info of the oval piston v4. in game it only makes 128hp, but, it weighs 223kg. the only track ive taken it to so far was valencia. i put some preformance tyres on it and hit the track not knowing what to expect.

the engine seems a bit weak with really short gear ratios. but, crash it and itll take forever to get back up to speed. the weight, combine with the seemingly narrow power band make it feel weak. what the weight doesnt do is hinder its braking/handling. while its no tz250, it certainly doesnt lack a confedence inspiring feeling with the only hanlding/braking related problem i had was with the last corner. screaming into the last corner in 3rd or 4th gear and get on the brakes like normal. but the rear locks up almost instintaly making you back off sooner and only use the front brake to slow the bike down. fwiw though, the problem with the rear brake only appeared in the last corner.

id say its worth the effort of getting all gold in the expert test :)

(1 down, 3 to go! haha)

Don't even bother with the other tests. They're even more disappointing than the NR750. Seems like as time goes on PD keeps giving us crappier stuff for getting gold in their rediculous license tests. Far cry from the awesomeness of the Dodge Concept car back in GT1. That thing hauled serious fucking boatloads of ass.

Totally agreed on the license tests. Why they exist in the first place is beyond me. :?

Still want that NR though.

Nothing I guess. Maybe I'm just expecting too much from the trinkets for getting gold. You could practically finish GT1 with that concept car. I'm not sure if there are any races the NR could even win.
Then again I haven't really given it much of a look, maybe that will be something to do once I get finished with my school finals.

Since you opened an NR topic, this is how I celebrated when I won it ;) From the original pics thread... SO I figured I would liven things up - oh, and I have no problem in saying that Golds for Expert was F'ing hard for me.. ;)

I used the NC30 as an RC30 standin... looks good alongside the RC40 (NR)

Spent about 5 hours of a day off mucking about with it hehe

I can't remember if I posted the videos I made of the NR...

Well, look what All Gold Medals on the Expert License tests gets you... :) (oh - and the only reason I put myself through that hell was to get the NR.. ;))

The golds for Junior were rediculously hard for me. I golded everything else within about 5 tries.

I can't remember if I posted the videos I made of the NR...

No you didn't. ;) (I still haven't really bothered with trying to get the NR, I'm allergic to those bloody license tests )

I would buy this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150012872257), but it's just so inconvenient going all the way over to the US. :shifty: Maybe one of you guys would like it as a weekend toy?

damn, sold for $69k.  thats is a hell of a lot of money! i bet the buyer is real happy though. maybe if i steal a bunch of credit cards...:shifty:

Dom

Nope, looks like it's been relisted for some reason. $69k is the starting bid (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150015935041).

we should take bets on how much it will sell for...

good find man.

Red Frog

Someone must have forgot to tell them that people don't like to start bidding at $70K.

I bet it doesn't sell at all, at least not on eBay.

If I was going to spend that kind of money for a bike it would be the Ducati Desmosedici RR. It may not be as rare (atleast not yet) as the NR but it would spank its ass two ways from sunday.
