Looks interesting, seems to convey the speed a bit more than TT does but I wouldn't really have very high hopes for it. That doughnut looked pretty sweet though.

This alone worries me... I wonder if people know just how difficult this type of slide manouvre is to pull of in real life at any sort of meaningful race speed? ;)

Any game that instantly transforms mere mortals into Rossi wanna-bes has already cut corners along the way - sure it looks cool, but in no way represents the ability of 95% of motorcycle riders around the world - so htis alone means there are actually corners cut in the physics model.

The same way any driving game that allows regualr cars and bikes to post sub 6 minute Nurburgring lap times is full of it ;)

Ah, but it looks cool. ;) Tbh I'm not so picky about things like that as long as the game is good fun and doesn't have completely arcadey handling. The more bike games the better. :D

I feel the same way.
I do like more of a simulation though and this one is claimed to be developed by some the guys that did the SBKseries from EA for the PC so if all we've seen so far is from the PS2 version then maybe the PC version will be a step up. (If they port it from the PC to the PS2 then we might get lucky. If done the other way around then :eh: )

ditto. I can enjoy an acrade racer just as much as a sim if they are fun. I loved the SBK series and thought it had great balance. this was obivously a tech demo and hopefully maintains the balance of the previous SBK games.

I just hope they didn't loose the lincense and also don't make the actual riding less important than unlocking a bunch of junk

I think EA must still hold the license to the FIM SBK series...unless they showed a bone stock MV because that's all they had finished?
A licensed SBK game from the Milestone guys would be nice.

This game has more potential than any other riding game I have seen from recent years, with the exception of MGP06. The only thing that scares me is the name. Previously, the Milestone SBK games were the real deal, complete with license. I'd like to know how many people of the original SBK team are actually working on this new game. The video certainly looks cool, and I trust Milestone to provide good entertainment as they usually do, but I don't want to get too excited just yet. Hopefully they will release more information soon.

I've studied the video and it looks to support around 10 bikes in places - what we're all crying out for is an online console racer :D
As long as the physics are in the correct ball park i'm not too concerned, as long as the actual racing is upto scratch it would be awsome 8O

Watched a video last night of the new Forza 2 game looks great but the best bit is that they are now starting to include mechanical car damage so all online racers have to be very carefull and will have to show respect to the other drivers to be able to progress.

Polyphony Digital are starting to fall behind hopefully the future will be brighter with PS3

i cant do olr atm plus a ps3 apparently going to cost 500-600$ then i wont be getting one anytime soon (im not sure if im getting a xbox360. waiting on a halo 3 bundle). id just like more bikes on the track and ai that can keep up and race cleanly.
