Good luck. :)
callaghan 13-06-2006, 10:48 PM hmmm, this should be interesting. i cant seem to get a bike to work as well as i want here. i like the r1, but the brakes are not what i expect them to be...and the honda has the brakes, but not the turn in...compromises i guess...
callaghan 14-06-2006, 05:41 AM i got to foolin around with the r1, and had an interesting moment, shall we say.
not championship worthy, cuz i hit the grass and almost crashed, but it shows how i cant get the r1 to do what i want. i keep losing the rear, i think it has a little too much preload. anywho.

Bye Roca
callaghan 14-06-2006, 06:41 PM yes, you can upload as many replays as you want. one thing though, for it to be eligible for the championship, it needs to be in pro mode.
check this out (http://www.motogpboards.com/showthread.php?t=326)
read the first post and it will tell you all the rules.
that is quite impressive nonetheless.

callaghan 9'38.417
es nes 9'53.255
Big_Ham 9'59.674
es nes 18-06-2006, 02:50 PM well, i cant even match my own times this morning ... guess ill start on getting the next round thread ready.
es nes 18-06-2006, 04:04 PM my replay has been uploaded, check link in first reply ... callaghan, maybe you can tell me what i was doing wrong to be 3 seconds off your pace :(
callaghan 18-06-2006, 04:39 PM after watching your replay, i dont think its anything youre doing wrong. it looks to me like its more of a bike set-up issue, almost like the bike wasnt doing what you wanted it too. when you opened the throttle, it looked like the bike wanted to understeer, and i think that didnt allow you to get on the gas as early as you could have, and with the srtaights between the corners being fairly long, that, i think, is the key for a quick time. i think i was able to get the r1 to turn in a little sharper than the ducati, but i lacked to stability the ducati has.
es nes 18-06-2006, 05:20 PM your good enough at set ups, i generally leave chassis set up alone execpt for preload execpt at tracks like nordschcliefe and deep forest (and im not too certain of what does what understeer/oversteer wise) any help finding a better base would be appericatate ;)
Big_Ham 18-06-2006, 06:38 PM Fastest Lap:1'58.322 set on lap 3/5
Total Time:9'59.674
Suzuki GSXR1000RM
Felt much nicer than the ZX10R, but I had big problems with it wanting to run straight in the braking area for the first corner, over the bumps...
finally managed to go sub 10 minute. Medium tyres were fried by the end again though, front was as bad as the back.
I also tend to leave teh set up well alone and try and ride around the problems......
es pointed out that this thread was turning into just chat about bike setups etc, so I've moved those posts into a new thread specific to bike setups & rider forms (http://www.motogpboards.com/showthread.php?t=435). :)
Vermin71 22-06-2006, 11:12 AM On the 1000RR RM, I managed to get down to a 1.54.514 last night.:D
