View Full Version : 2006 Catalunya MotoGP Dom 14-06-2006, 08:51 AM Notch up another for Mr. Rossi? es nes 14-06-2006, 02:00 PM bets on the usuals ... but, only differnce is that im broke :P Dom 14-06-2006, 02:27 PM Wahey, I'm finally no longer the poorest person on the forums. :D callaghan 14-06-2006, 06:46 PM who bet 7 bucks on hayden?? es nes 15-06-2006, 12:24 AM callaghan - ive been betting on hayden for a while :P its just after 100 on rossi, 100 on capirossi, and 150 on dani, i only had 7 bucks left of my 357 ;) callaghan 15-06-2006, 01:45 AM lol, sorry...it was one of those things were you look at it and you think, "who bet 7 bucks?":D MustMoto 15-06-2006, 05:45 PM I like better on the better pay off in the off chance it hits... 50 on Melandri, 50 on Stoner, and 50 on Nakano (cause I'm a Kawi guy...) es nes 15-06-2006, 11:49 PM lol, sorry...it was one of those things were you look at it and you think, "who bet 7 bucks?":D :P just watch, as soon as i cant afford to put credits on him, hell win! callaghan 16-06-2006, 02:54 AM i think hayden is a great rider. he has the skill, talent, patience, and a team to put everything together. i just wish he would go out there and make it happen. i think if he can stay in it for another year or two, he will be at the top. his track knowledge i believe is holding him back. if you look at his record, he has steadily improved his placings. his only win was at laguna seca, his home track. he had a huge advantage over most everyone else (besides colin edwards, who finished second if i recall), because he had the track knowledge. most of these guys in motogp have moved up through the ranks, and have done these tracks on smaller bikes. i cant wait to see what the 800cc bikes bring to the table... es nes 18-06-2006, 07:41 PM the safe bet won again, followed by nicky and roberts jr *blinks* i missed this race just like the rest, but, i heard t1 lap 1 was big issue. no clue what happened though. callaghan 18-06-2006, 07:49 PM yeah, i wont be able to see it until tuesday night. i am going to tape it on speed channel, and watch it afer work. Big_Ham 18-06-2006, 08:02 PM well i won't tell you, catch a repeat, it's insane. es nes 18-06-2006, 09:50 PM could you tell me? i dont have speed. adifferentname 19-06-2006, 12:53 AM Thats the first live one I've seen in a while. Just before turn 1 the two Ducatis came together forcing Gibernau to jam in his front brake, he flipped the bike and skittled Capirossi, Melandri, DePuniet, Hopkins and Pedrosa. It looked like a couple of the bikes collected Melandri as he was sliding along the track. Melandri suffered some sort of dislocation, Capirossi internal bleeding, Gibernau light concussion and Hopkins a twisted back and possible broken ankle. Big ups to John Hopkins for getting a fourth place from the restart, he deserves to take the championship one day. Big_Ham 19-06-2006, 09:14 AM Giberau's bike literally hit a front flip sending giberau into the air and straight over the bars in a heart beat. This took out melandri who then slide into the back of pedrosa causing him to hit hopkins and drap meladri down the road with them Dom 19-06-2006, 03:59 PM Sorry for the lack of site/forum updates this weekend, I was a bit caught up with doing the London to Brighton pushbike ride (link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/5091866.stm)). I just caught the race highlights - what a mad start. Hopefully Capirossi, Gibernau and Melandri will heal up okay ASAP. :? Apparently after all that bad luck at the start, Gibernau's ambulance managed to crash on the way to the hospital! Nonetheless, another convincing win from Rossi and a great performance by KRJR for third place. Hopefully the first of many podiums! I'll get the site updated today/tomorrow with as much info and as many pics as possible, although it'll probably end up being a bit on the brief side compared to normal. |
