Welcome to the boards. :)

I've not been to the day of champions, but it definitely sounds worthwhile if you can make it. Can't be much use on the camping side either, as I've only been up for race day. :?

Not sure if I will be going up this year unfortunately. I'm keen to get to Brands for the World Supers and don't know whether I can manage both. Will have to see if my bank balance looks a bit better in 2 weeks time!

(Whether or not I do make it, I just pray the weather's better than last year. I had sod all wet weather gear with me and had to spend about 40 minutes holed up in a service station just to fend off pneumonia. )

Being nice and organised as usual, I just got around to looking at the ticket prices. £60 on the door! That's the same as the full weekend in advance!

Looks like it'll be the Superbikes at Brands Hatch instead.

I had every intention of going but I think £60 is ridiculous so I'm not going out of principle. I'll just have to watch it on tv like every other year. I think I would rather spend the money going to another 2-3 BSB meetings.

Couldn't agree more. Last year I was just as disorganised and just picked up a ticket from a tout when I got there for £40, which I'm almost certain was the same as the gate price (saved on queuing). How can they justify putting 50% extra on the gate price compared to pre-ordering? :(

For £60 I can pay for WSB tickets, petrol there and back and some food when I get there. And the racing's just as good.

This will bw my firsttrip to Dinnington and a MotoGP for that matter, too. can anyone suggest a good viewing spot? It looks like we'll be parking in the car parks at te back of the track coming through Castle Donnington.

I missed this post yesterday, but tbh I can't give any particularly good advice anyway. We were watching at the Craner Curves last year which was a pretty good spot, but I think you'll probably have a good view of things just about wherever you have ended up watching from.

(Welcome to the boards btw :))
