Looks like it was just a freak shower. Just watched the 250s, which were pretty boring, but it's gotta be 30 odd degrees now (certainly is down here :D) and not a cloud in sight. So I'd have thought those free practice times will mean little overall compared to the other sessions.

I think this could be Pedrosa's second win of the season, but I'll just be happy with a decent race, whoever gets the win.

Yes Dom, watching live on Foxsports here in Australia...... the sun is a shining bright. Bit of a lapse of concentration cost Dovi dearly didn't it?

My prediction for the race now that it's dry????

Pedrosa:(

Not a big fan of Pedrosa here either, but my money's on him in the MGPB bookies, so that'd take the edge off. ;)

Should of laid a bit more money on Dani in the betting:( The kid obviously has bucketloads of talent, i just wish he'd get a personality transplant instead of walking and talking like he has the world on his shoulders. I can't cop that sort of attitude i'm afraid.

Pretty tame race for 1st once Dani regathered himself, but jesus he was lucky to stay up into the hairpin........ nearly took poor Marco out whilst doing so!

Incredible effort by Rossi to finish 2nd, also Marco to finish the podium. Casey was steady if unspectacular, i wonder if the soft rear was a wise choice in hindsight?

Anyways, at least the title race has closed up some;).

Pretty boring race.

I'll tell you one thing though. Though not a fan of his, if Hopkins hangs around the top three long enough {and if the Bridgestone/Suzuki packages improves in late race performance...} he's going to pick himself up a win sooner or later.

Decent race, but Pedrosa is a boring rider, really.

:eh:
Got to disagree - Pedrosa is NOT a boring rider - he's anything but.

There isn't going to be much excitement from him when he's romped away on his own is there ? Did you see him ride a 250 ? For a 7st 20yr old kid - I think he's great.

I don't think it was a boring race either - did you see the Rossi/Melandri battle ? yes it was only over the last bit of the race but isn't it always the case ?

as far as Hopper is concerned - i can't see him standing on the top of the podium for the rest of this season.

Hmm personally as I say, not a huge Dani fan. There's no doubt he is a ridiculously good rider and I'm sure he'll win multiple championships, but as a rider to watch I don't find him too exciting. The smooth riding style and professional approach definitely works, but as someone who likes to see Rossi's antics and Hayden backing it in etc, I find it hard to enjoy.

The Melandri/Rossi fight at the end was a good little fight though, as was Rossi's 2 bike overtake earlier on in the race on Roberts and I think Melandri again.

I don't think the Suzuki has a chance of winning a dry weather race this year. At all. I'd quite like to be proved wrong though!

i think the race had its moments, but foronce in a long time, i didnt snooze off during the race. i loved it when melandri stuffed rossi going into the chicane, but then he had to go and screw it up two turns later...and i loved seeing pedrosa try and pass melandri on the brakes, and almost loose, no, he did loose it, and somehow stayed on the bike...good stuff

i agree with dani being very smooth (a bit like his chin no doubt) and not backing it in or smoking it out etc - and he's certainly no Rossi on the personality side but he's still very very handy on a bike.

despite his persona (ZZZZZzzzzz) i think he's great to watch and some of his races on a 250 were awesome viewing.

i would be willing to bet all of my v-cash he's world champ in the next 2 years.
