does anyone have any settings that will help with this bike?? i cant make it do anything i want it to. it doesnt turn in, it doesnt hold a line, it doesnt brake, it doesnt put the power down at all. it does nothing well, or even good for that matter. it cant be 8 seconds off the pace at deep forest, not 7 seconds at laguina seca...

if anyone wants to help, i would like to see the potential this bike may or may not have.

i didnt put much effort into the the mv because it has good power, its also seems a bit over weight. its 182kg with the ducati being 177k and the the aprilia 176k. irc, the heavist japanesse 4 is 182k?

[edit - correction, the heavist japanesse 4 banger is the zx10r rm at 178k with the suzuki being the lightst at 172k]

yeah, that 10 lbs or so really shouldnt be that big of a deal, or so i thought. take for example the cbr600rr. its "heavy" compared to the other 600s, but its damn good...imo. i have tried and im about ready to call it quits with this thing...but ill probably come back to it in about a months time, and try to f*ck with it some more...

hm ... youd think. judging by the numbers youd presume they were all fairly balanced. but, the italian machine seeems to be lacking and the duacti seems to be able to match the bikes times but is much harder to ride.

the weight seems apparently on the zx10r rm too.

btw - i like the feel of the zx6r rm and r6 rm over the cbr-rr rm ;)

I tried the MV great sound :D but no go :( at least 2 sec off my best,
That sound track is sooo good i think it makes you think you're going faster than you really are

heh. went back to motegi with the mv f4s and slaped on soft tyres and barelly managed to break the 2 minute mark. its funny just how slow it is with the rsv rm, as i meantioned earlier in this thread, doing a 1'57. yet, the winning race pace in the tt sbk was in the 1'54-55 range iirc. granted, that was with a cbr1000rr rm, but, the 999r rm has been proven to be the equal of the honda by team hazard.

we used mediums in the tt sbk race btw.

Yeah I tried a soft/soft combo and trans setting of 1 with the final drive adjusted to give 167.0 mph. Also a preload of 3 bound of 2 and rebound of 3 stiffness was a 4 fr and 5 rr. I think they got the V-twin 999R RM mixed up with the F41000 RM because the MV is a I-4 so it should just as fast as the CBR or Gixxxer Rm's?

it should be as fast, but, they didnt give the aprilia or the mv the grip to be able to keep up.
