hi

i'm probably asking the million dollar question but..............

does anyone have any set-up tips they would be willing to share ? i've read some posts by the likes of Mr Callaghan and, as he says, they work for some bikes on some tracks........

:?

how do i know what the bike is doing wrong so that i can put it right ? i've tried watching replays but it doesn't help.

for eg - i'm quick on the zx10 BUT if i need to flick left/right or vice-versa quickly - without being in the 'crouch' position i tend to loose the back end.

any suggestions for a zx10 set-up ? :shifty:

is this just a trial & error thing.........

you might want to keep the preload higher than others using a stiff-ish spring rate to help keep hard bits from touching down. specially at tracks like deep forest with the zx-10r rm where most of the low sides were caused by footpegs or body work dragging on the ground.

try mixing up your lines to try to find lines where you can avoiding digging foot pegs in.

if youre losing the rear end, you might want to try moving your seat position back. if you find your starting to understeer too badly drop the front or raise the rear preload.

You want to be able to flick hard without getting wobbly? Reduce your leg and arm angle and soften up your suspension.

i agree with the arm and leg angle reduction, but i dont think a softer suspension is the answer. increasing the compression damping i would think is the trick. i dont have a whole lot of time with this bike, but i found it likes to lowside a lot with a softer suspension.
