SKINNYHIPPY 14-08-2006, 09:14 AM what a great race @ Croft ! personally i'm not a fan of the circuit but it was great viewing. blagged my way into the pits and was hanging over the pit-wall as Haslam took the win for race 2 - awesome. had my picture taken with WSB's Chris Walker who in one of the garages watching and better still - i got one of haslams sliders off him and got him to sign it. i think i'm turning into a groupie ! Dom 15-08-2006, 12:51 PM Nicely done. I caught most of race 2 in the end, looked like a pretty soggy state of affairs. Very impressive stuff from Haslam though. GSXR77 16-08-2006, 12:27 AM what a great race @ Croft ! personally i'm not a fan of the circuit but it was great viewing. blagged my way into the pits and was hanging over the pit-wall as Haslam took the win for race 2 - awesome. had my picture taken with WSB's Chris Walker who in one of the garages watching and better still - i got one of haslams sliders off him and got him to sign it. i think i'm turning into a groupie ! Did you get Leon's slider around 6pm on Sunday? I had just got his hat that he promised me earlier and I saw him tear his slider off his knee and give to a bloke outside the garage near the trucks when Niall Mac and JR were clearing up the Rizla stuff!!! Was that you? :) PS: Are you a fan of James Ellison by the way? SKINNYHIPPY 16-08-2006, 03:35 PM aye that was me ! black hat - really really really wet. :( yeah i'm a fan of Ellison - I'm hoping to sponsor his brother in BSB next year so he got me a pit pass for Sunday - it made my life - i'm sure it was the equivalent of a football fan being on the touchline for the world cup final ! Met Chris Walker in the pits, Got Rutters slider signed too. BONUS GSXR77 24-08-2006, 08:48 AM That's good Skinny Hippy as Dean needs all the help he can get!! Like his brother, he's not had much luck this year in the bike racing despite both being good racers! Our paths probably did cross Skinny Hippy because I also met Chris Walker shortly after the pit walk on Sunday when he obliged with a photo, chat and sig. as always! SKINNYHIPPY 24-08-2006, 09:20 AM felt a bit of a prick approaching Chris Walker but he was very nice - had a bit of crack and off I went with a photo and a big daft grin on my face. Worse still i had a Newcastle Falcons shirt on with 'Walker' and a big '9' on the back. Made me look like a bit of a groupie me thinks. Anyway I got to meet one of my hero's so i'm not that arsed. I sponsored a superstock guy for this year (through the company) but i'll be sponsoring Dean next year. Sadly it's not as much £ as I would like but I only work here and it isn't my train set i'm afraid. My offering is hardly going to make a dent in his budget for the year but it's better than a poke in the eye. If anyone has any spare money (if there is such a thing) sponsoring a rider is very good value for money. Some guys were offering a ticket for every round for just £100. Now that's good value. |
