I have seen the new MV Agusta F41000 R and it looks great. I have read about it as well and they say it can keep up with the rice rockets. How many of you think the new F4 could actually keep up?

View Full Version : MV Agusta F4 1000R...true contender or just a pretty face? isaac8317 04-08-2006, 06:47 PM I have seen the new MV Agusta F41000 R and it looks great. I have read about it as well and they say it can keep up with the rice rockets. How many of you think the new F4 could actually keep up? es nes 05-08-2006, 12:47 AM ive heard nothing about the f41000r, please explain the "twin is a twin"? i thought the f4's were i4s? Matt W. 05-08-2006, 01:26 AM Tell me what a "true contender" is in your view. Because in reality, 99% of motorcyclist in the world couldn't take a 1000cc sportbike nowhere near it's potential anyways. No matter whenever it's a GSX-R1000 or a MvAgusta... es nes 05-08-2006, 01:36 AM thats why if i was going to buy new id get a white/grey/dark grey gsxr750 ;) Matt W. 05-08-2006, 01:45 AM The 750's are easier to ride, and so are the 600's. But once again, very few people on the world can take even a stock sportbike to it's absolute limits. And the ones that can, are usually called professional motorcycle racers. Point being... It doesn't matter if it's a "true contender". When it comes down to it, bikes are so hard to fault nowadays that that all this hype with magazines and people on which bike is "better" pure bullsh@t. p.s. Yeah, the new GSX-R750's kick ass. isaac8317 05-08-2006, 03:11 AM ive heard nothing about the f41000r, please explain the "twin is a twin"? i thought the f4's were i4s? I mean that a V-Twin engine will never out perform any Japanese Inline. I know the MV F4 is a 1000cc bike but I sure any Jap1000 would dust it. ;) isaac8317 05-08-2006, 03:14 AM Tell me what a "true contender" is in your view. Because in reality, 99% of motorcyclist in the world couldn't take a 1000cc sportbike nowhere near it's potential anyways. No matter whenever it's a GSX-R1000 or a MvAgusta... Would we see this bike in the Moto GP soon? DUCATI and Aprilia are both V-Twins but the Japanese inlines win 90% of the time. A true contender? meaning can this bike keep up with the Japanese 1000's or is it just another statement bike. When is the last time you saw a Desmo win at a race? I mean don't get me wrong I would LOVE to own one. I really love the M41000S "Veltro" race bike. I have posted a picture of it as well as the new '07 F41000 R street and track versions for es nes. I hope to see it at the Moto GP next year to see how it does against the Ducati's. drillah 05-08-2006, 05:26 AM It would be nice to see a new MFG in the series and be competitive but I don't think they will be. They've tried a comback before. So did Benelli and Bimota. If they don't have the rider or stickw ith it for years and have lots of money they will never make it. That said...I'd buy one for the street in a heartbeat if/when I have the money. isaac8317 05-08-2006, 06:35 AM Yeah me too man. The sticker for that bike is $22,998.00 USD. Maybe when my cars are paid off in '09 I can get one. I'll just have to stick to the used CBR1000 RR I am buying. Oh and it has a full titainium MICRON exhaust system, should be fun to ride! CELTIC 05-08-2006, 09:02 AM I hope to see it at the Moto GP next year to see how it does against the Ducati's. Not a hope Isaac :( as it's 800cc next term but there are new teams interested such as BMW and ilmor racing |
