I figure If Ducati can do it; why not all the other makes? Here is my PS YZR-M1 GP replica and what it could be if made a street bike.
The bike pictured below would be the Valentino Rossi edition with an optional Colin Edwards edition. The base modeld would have every decal and paint scheme but with no numbers or nicknames aboard. Me personnaly I would love to see the fender not be added but I had to make this bike realistic eh.
price: $60,000 ($61,000 for Collin or Valentino versions)
200hp DOHC I-4
I'm sure a race-rep paintjob will show up soon enough, assuming the Yamaha/Camel arrangement carries on for a few years. Would be good to see a 'proper' replica ala the Duke tho.
In the meantime I would be happy with one of these...

Heh, I think this poll is a one-way street :D
There's still rumors that Honda is building a V5 street bike, although whether it is based off the RC211V is still up for contention. Personally I'd love to see full-on race replica's rolling off the production lines.

it would be cool, but only the richest could afford it/them. and how many rich guys do you know that can actually ride? and arent professional racers...

how about instead of manufactors offering gp 30K+ motogp replicas, how about they offer upgrades that would realistically help/make a differnce? exhuasts, dyno time for a custom ecu, suspesion, etc and price them to move?

that sounds great, but there is one problem. no where else can you get any kind of performance at the prices these bikes go for. 99% of the people out there cannot use 10% of the bikes' capabilities as stock. any performance upgrade would not be realized, unless they were a racer on a racetrack, and then the work would probably be done in house...however;
there are a few of the examples you are talking about, namely the ducatis, like the 749s/biposto/r versions. same with the 999r. and yamaha has the same with their R1 SE (special edition.) its got ohlins and marchesini...mmmmmm http://www.philevans.com/forum/smilies/drool.gif

All joking aside Cal, when we all have grandchildren that will most likely be a possibility ya know. Kinda how they tune the bikes for each track. Maybe the will simulate runs on a computer like in the "Matrix" and the best run can be loaded into the riders head.

i hope not. then theyd be like the ai in TT and running over each other because theyre preprogramed to take line X through corner Y at speed Z :lol:
