We all know or have heard of MOD chips that allow your PS2 to play burnt PS2 games on CD-R's or DVD-R's/ RW's right? I just popped in TT in my computer and it was able to read the disc (No, silly not play it, LOL) and allow me to see the files on it. I was thinking if someone here is smart enough; that person could essentialy extract the files and edit them right? I know that Polyphony uses Maya =o( (I use Max =o)..) and almost everyone uses Photoshop for making skins 'n' stuff. So why not guys? You all think we can do it. This way we can add our bikes or change existing ones. I for example would re-skin the F41000 S with the new F4 Corse kit. Then I would add the appropriate power addidtion that comes with the titainuim exhuast kit plus the added handling improvements that it has. I would also add the Tamburini, AGO, Mamba and SP01....Hell even the 750's like the SPR and 2002 SENNA 750. Anyway just my thoughts; what do you all think?

im not sure you could go that far without your ps2 having a hd. but, i know on some team ninja games on the xbox that skins have been edited. i dont think they got as far as actually editing the preformance of the fighters though.
there are "special" versions of TT floating around that have the tracks from gt4 imported in and "special" versions of GT4 with TT tracks imported. just dont ask me where to get them, because i dont know. i dont even know where to get a mod chip. so.
besides, yes, the pc can read your dvd (i think) but, how are you going to edit the coded files? then youve to figure out which format the skins are in and make a plug-in so that which ever photo editing program you use can open, edit, and resave it in a format that the game reads.
but, if youve the ability and time to do so, good luck! ;)
fwiw - id like the aprilia rm and mv f4s rm up to the same speeds as the other litre bike rms  though i wouldnt allow any edited/added bikes into any series i run due to not everyone having the same bike even if its just the skin changed.

LOL, I understand Es...but what I meant was we all agree on what bikes to add to a "series". Like say take a vote. That way we can all race and have the same content. There would only be a few to edit since most of the bodies didn't change like the gusta's or the gixxers.

Yes my thought exactly! I would like to see the AMA superstock 749R as well as the AMA Superbike 999R "Parts Unlimited" bike. I wish we could add a feature like in GT4 where you buy after market parts and stuff. Like say you got to "wieght reduction" and it would say stage 1: removal or rear fender and mirrors, Stage 2: Farrings replaced with lighter ones. Stage 3: ??? Also have an after market parts section like on GT4. Say you go to "Tuner Village and you can go to "Marchesini" or "BST", "Leo Vince", Termignoni" and OPP racing (ther sell full carbonm fiber body kits). Well just my thoughts.
Here are 2 pics of 749R racers and the 999R racer

well, with street bikes id just be happy to be able to adjust spring rate and brake balance and then maybe have the ability to customize the fuel maping to suit the exhaust/track needs.
but, instead of having race mods like gt series, id rather have premade race mods with more than 1 skin/personality to the bikes like factory race bikes or privateers.

No-one has been able to crack GT4 to make Hybrids yet so I don't like your chances, but it would be cool to make different spec bikes off the models available. 750cc MV's and 748 Ducati's would be cool I reckon.

the best mod you could make, imo ;) is to rip the tracks off of (suzuki) TT superbikes and add them to tt
