MV Agusta Brutale 910 RM vs Triumph Speed Tripple RM - Citta Di Aria - practice - 1 lap

How to take part:
Complete as many laps as you like of Citta Di Aria in a Tourist Trophy mode practice session. Then save a 'best lap replay' onto a USB stick from the replay theater area and upload it to TT Replays (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/). The fastest time wins. Make sure the time submitted is a best lap replay as that ensures the correct lap is saved with the replay, rather than the complete session.

Bike/s you can use:
MV Agusta Brutale 910 RM or Triumph Speed Triple RM team mates must use the same bike

Deadline:
The chequered flag is out in 1 week time (Sunday the 24th of September). Any entries submitted after midnight CST will not count.

TT Replays Tag:
All replays for this round should have the tag 'TTWS-citta'. You will be able to enter this when you upload your replay to the site.

good time. the tz250 should be stupid fast here, but, i bet the lack of torque makes climbing the hills fun if improperly geared.

i managed a 1'40 with the speed triple rm and a 1'41 with the brutale 910rm. the brutale struggle with the steep uphills though :s

Same as, barely tried this circuit but have started to get the hang of it. Of about the two properly clean laps I've done, a 1:37.399 is my best, though that was pretty damn hairy as well (you should NOT be making that shape when going through the last turn ).

#72, Backmarker Racing, Triumph Speed Triple RM by the way (at least I think me and DJ agreed on that).

Hey guys, good time diatribe! First I just want to say that I've never liked this track from GT4 and even more so now in TT( too narrow and tight). I keep smacking my rider's head on walls (he's probably a vegetable by now).

Team OnEdge Racing #8 is riding the Speed Triple RM with a lap time of
1' 38.005

I might be able to shave a few tenths but I have to wonder if the hours I would spend to do so is really worth it at this track.

Same. Where you run over that red tarmac, hug the wall on the right and go into that very narrow left is quite possibly my favourite turn on the game now. Close though is the last right coming out of all those tight/narrow turns where you have to nail it and go over that little jump while still bearing right :D

Down to a 1:36.734 now, with splits of 37.504 and 1:05.476.

i think it would be interesting to compare the replays from the cars to the bikes. to see where each is strong, and weak...

running the times down...only a matter of time (no pun intended) before the 35's become consistant...

I can tell you right now that the rally car has the advantage in the braking zones, whereas the bike has the top speed.

For example, the braking zone after the first hairpin (marked on the map with an arrow) needs to start long before road enters that narrow section, maybe 150 or 200 meters on the bike. This can be a short as 50 meters in the Subaru. I think this is mostly because the road has a slight left-hand turn in it before it becomes tight, and the bike needs to lean over to take it smoothly while the car just barrels thru with slight steering.

http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/2562/cittadiariaqu9.jpg

Cornering is almost equal but the car can handle the quick, narrow left-right-left-right section a little better.

I brought my game to Germany with me to get some laps in at a friends this weekend, only to find out that my NTSC game wouldn't work in his PAL machine.

Therefore, the only time I have is from a few runs I got in before I left home last week. I figured I'd still post it in case not many people run this week. My apologies to Diatribe for letting the team down.

On the upside, we got to watch some cool vintage races on the Nordschliefe yesterday!

No worries, sounds like you're having fun over in Germany :)

My final time is 1:35.941, happy I've finally got into the 35's though that doesn't move me up at all. Guessing Es Nes has something up his sleeve which'll push me down a bit, plus Manters will probably post a last minute 1.35:3 or something..

1'35.723 just nipping 750F-RM off the podium ... had a close moment but when i watched the replay it it shows that i missed the wall by a good inch

the best spilts ive had was a 36.7/1'04.x but messed up going back up hill :(

theres a 1'34 in it, i can feel it but i need to get through all the stupid stuff that keeps randomly happening. for instance, i fell off the bike while i wasnt on the side walk or landing from the one jump, i land fine and get the bike straight up and the bike shoots to the right like someone reached onto the track pushed me into the right wall. i low side before i get half way accross the track.

:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

so far, t1 - 36.901, t2 - 1.04.699, t3 - 1.34.409. the final split...29.710. :D

es nes, youll get it, just have the patience, and the back uphill has got the time...it will make or break your lap...

how are you taking the final hairpin? the bike just stops steering about half way through.

callaghan
25-09-2006, 04:42 AM
i run up in second...actually, here (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/237) is my replay.

i trail brake for a while, but half way through the turn tightens up a lot. at that point i slow a lot and square off the corner, cause you should be full throttle for a while going up the hill.

i think i make up a lot of time by holding the left stick down to get the rider weight back.

Use Tranny trick On Gears To get Minimum Speed And Stretch 5th and 6th out to get Max Speed Up to About 155mph

Hope These Help :D

es nes

the tranny trick, in case you dont know, is to set your final gear all the way to the right. then move auto select once to the right and then all the way back to 1. that should give you the shortist possible gear ratios.

:)
