I wiill buy a Wii. There is a 99% chance I will end up with a 360 sometime, if only for PGR3 and MotoGP 06. Although I still hate the 360 controller, too much like the S and DS. I want my Duke!

I'm not really sold on the PS3, have they even got a finished and playable machine yet? After the PS2 I don't trust anything from Sony until I see it on a store shelf with a pricetag.

The PS3 is a bit of a joke imo. Hugely overpriced and based on a new technology (Blu Ray) which isn't even needed, not to mention the fact it seems to be delayed every week. The other day Sony announced a price cut for the release in Japan, so the reasonable assumption is that it would apply everywhere, yes? As a company I really dislike Sony and, tbh, would be quite pleased to see the PS3 fall flat on it's face.

I may end up buying a super gaming PC if PS3 is going to be expensive as people say it is. PC's *IMO* tend to favor any kind of game or gamer.

i want to get an xbox360 because bioware is working on a massive rpg that looks awesome. and on the xbox360 i believe theyll be able to pull off their promises. plus im a huge halo fan and i want to see how the series ends.

ps3? over priced and with the rummours floating about with GT:next that most of the game will be purchaseable download content then ... im slightly worried about the same thing for the next TT :(

Wii for sure, PS3 when it's price is lower (and when GT:HD & MGS4 make their appearances), X360 I'm not sold on.

i'll buy a ps3 when Sony finally realise they're too expensive and sell them at a reasonable price. The 360 is very good but i think i'll just wait.

I cannot stand the idea of paying a couple of quid per car/track, so I definitely wouldn't be getting the next of the GTs. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they do the same thing with TT2, or if it's even a built in to the next GT, so I guess that won't be happening either. :(

Sony really do seem to feel as though their customers owe them something. They don't seem to appreciate that they have been lucky to get where they are and that unless they show a little more respect they will not be leaders in any market for much longer. Even if the PS3 does pull it out of the bag MS will have had a extra year to play around with ideas for their next console so I would be happy to bet that Sony's days at the top of the pile are numbered.

I was hoping to get a 360 this november but i may have to wait until next march now due to sony putting the release date back.

PS3 has been delayed here in Aus now until the first qtr of next year, so the christmas rush is a dream for Microsoft......

Unless Forza 2 can deliver much more than Forza 1 did there would be no reason for me to buy an Xbox 360. GT4 is a great game and with the DFPro it's the only thing I ever need, so with GT HD's online capability it just gets even better. I'm sold on the PS3 and the Wii so both of those will be mine at some stage.

PGR3 and TDU are both really fun, but basically arcade games.

Forza2 will be reason to buy a 360, it should be much more than Forza with pumped up graphics. GTR is also coming to the 360 in '07. They will both have FF and MS has a FF wheel coming out soon. FF enhanced versions of PGR3 and TDU will supposedly be offered in bundle packs with the new MS wheel. The Logitech Drive FX wheel is also good, at least the equivalent of the GT Force.

I'm pretty much committed with the 360 right now, no short-term plans to buy a PS3. I wouldn't rule it out in the future, but I can't justify the expenditure at the moment.

Well I have the original Xbox and I am still happy with it although I am scared that they will stop making games for it and just release them for the 360:cry: so I may have to keep in the 'Modern Age' and upgrade...but again I don't want to buy the Xbox 360 and then the new Xbox gets released 6 months later, so I may just hang on for the 3rd Xbox because the PS3 is way overpriced and the Wii just makes you look like a right nOOb when neighbours see you in the window playing on Nintendo's excuse for games, imagine late at night you want to settle down to a game, well I coulden't be arsed standing up and waving my arms about like an absoulute retard so the Wii from my point of view is a complete waste of money,:?, if any the Xbox 360 coz the Xbox is the only company to have brought out a decent, worthwile console.:up:

750f-rm - my ps2 is apart, but, together meaning its put together, but, not screwed together. i dont think i put the lid back on correctly the last time i cleaned the eye though because ive to push down by the power buttons to get it to eject. d'oh.

I ended up with a 360 Elite a while back.

Still planning on getting a Wii, just not sure when they'll be available. Hard to believe over 6 months past launch and they still can't keep them on the shelf. My friend managed to get a Wii though, and after sufficient time playing I can say it really doesn't require any great effort. I've even mastered the art of bowling from the antipodean prone position.

If I have to buy a nextgen console, it has to be the PS3 since I want GTAIV as I'm a huge GTA fan.

I bought a 360 a while back and I'm pleased with it. I got Crackdown, GRAW2 and Gears of War with it and the first two are very good, but I can't figure out the appeal with GoW so I'll probably sell it soon or trade it for something.

I also bought Dirt which is a fantastic game.

The MotoGP series is still annoyingly crap and completely unrealistic if the demo of the latest one's anything to go by.

Sure, it's been two games since the greatness that was MGP2 but at least they brought back the sim slider in '07. Hopefully '08 will make even better use of it.

Meh, I can't get on with it. I turned the 'realism' up to full on the demo and it still felt far too forgiving. The handling just doesn't feel right, and for some reason everyone seems to corner at half the speed they could (though admittedly that's probably because it's locked at super easy or something).

Yes, the demo is way too easy. As I have every MGP thus far (except 07), I can tell you the AI gets much harder with the setting.

I also agree the handling (that I saw in the 07 demo) wasn't quite on par with MGP2, but it was much better than 06. I'm just glad they put the sim level back in, and I hope they improve on it.

i got a PS3 today :D 60gb version with 3 games; F1, Juiced 2 and Motorstorm. of course i'd read all the hype about how good the gfx are on the games, but i was still very impressed when i saw them :eek:

no slot for PS2 memory cards though, but you're able to create a virtual PS2 memory card on the hdd. no saved content of course, so i've started TT all over again

i'm going to have a look around on the net to see if theres a way to get PS2 data onto the hdd from external sources. maybe download completed game saves from the internet to the PS3? opinions on that, anyone?

i'll play through TT to get it onto the PS3 hdd, but the adaptor will be handy for my GT and Toca collection :D
