I watched in disbeleif last night when Dani ploughed into the side of Nicky, and my thoughts instantly went back to Alex Criville and Mick Doohan in 1996.
The difference was that the championship was not on the line for them, and it wasn't the 4th lap of the race.
Your thoughts............ is this the biggest F**kup in history?
Having said that, i have a funny feeling that we are in for more shenanigans at Valencia........... the title is by no means settled.

considering this is nickys one and only chance at the championship, then, bigst? i doubt it, a bigger one? yes.
i can see valencia now: rossi sits right in front of nicky the entire race, then, on the last few laps gains 1-2 more positions ... or nicky crashes half way through.

Why is this Nicky's last chance?
He'll come back to fight another day, and honestly this actually might come back around and do him some good. Next year he'll have that fire he's been missing in some races this year.

well, this year hes only there because of rossi/yamahas bad luck and his consistancy ... but, if he does come back year in the right state of mind and starts wining almost as consistintly as rossi does ... but, im not holding my breath.

what the hell was Dani thinking ? looks like he lost the front end on the white paint trying to keep out of Haydens way BUT why as he there in the first place.
Team orders or not - you don't take your team mate out - especially when the championship is at stake.
I can't think of a bigger one, so that'd be a resounding 'yes'.
I can't believe Dani did that. I read part of his interview and he states that he wasn't trying to pass him but I don't see how you can be 3 or 4 bike lengths back and be braking so hard that your rear comes off the ground and still dive that deep into the corner. On somewhat of a high note atleast Rossi didn't win and now only has an 8pt gap over Nicky. Now Nicky has to win at Valencia and Rossi get 3rd for him to win.
Totally agreed. That was an attempted pass in my mind, whatever Dani says.

I think you have to blame Honda for that. As it was they who said "No team orders".

i dont think it was honda at fault. every rider has to make choices for themselves. i think it was a bad choice on Dani's part. it was funny hearing nicky say "it was pretty obvious what colin was doing for vale" and then he retakes and says what he thinks colin was doing...
later when colin was interveiwed, he stated that he had a plan, "to run 28.5s for a few laps, and let rossi do the 28s, 27.9s. that would give him a 5-6 second gap after a few laps, but the 28s never came. so i was just cruising around, saying 'c'mon vale, go...' but he never did."
then he went on to say that when the others (elias and krjr) wanted to play, he had no tyre left for them.
to me, this is team orders. i think honda should have had something in place.
