He was rumoured to be looking for a gig back in BSB but I wondered if the Checa shuffle has affected his move out of the Tech 3 shambles. Anyone heard?

Sete.... the rumor has him being heavily courted by Kawasaki at the moment with the expected move of Nakano to Konica Minolta.

Ellison...... does it really matter? Shit, he even struggled to outpace McCoy on the Ilmor. Off to BSB.

nakano has already moved to konica minolta honda, but as far as i heard, sete basically put his price out there, and is waiting for someone to pay him what he wants.

Oi! James is the sole home interest for us Brits, even if he rarely finishes in the points, so it does matter. :P

I'd like to see him have another season in GP, whether that's on the Tech3 bike or something else. Give it a couple of weeks and we'll probably find out what's happening I guess.

Anywho, the Illmor was running Michelins... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :shifty:

It was great watching him win the privateers cup in BSB outpacing factory bikes & riders. Its a pity he ended up with such a poorly funded team in MotoGP.

ellison is a bloody good rider and i hope he finds another ride in moto gp.

tech 3 - ther froggy gits that they are have basically shafted him imho.

he's been asking for the 'old' chasis for months - it was his idea to go back to it to cure the chatter problems - and as far as i'm aware - he still hasn't got it.

He hasn't exactly got the pulling power to call the shots though has he?

Hmm........ if you're good enough, you're good enough. And providing what sponsors you can bring to the table obviously helps the cause also. James currently provides none of the above IMHO. Hence his current predicament of no ride for '07.

Kids like Chas Davies and Bradley Smith are what the UK fans should be concentrating on supporting. They are the future hopes.

at this level, its not the riders ability that holds them back, its the equipment. unlike ama and other national levels, their (motogp riders) skill is far above the rest. if you are down on power, you will not win. if your tyres are not quite as good as the rest...you will not win. combine the two, you will not get top 10...thing is, give him a proper gp bike, and see where he goes. he wont win overnight, as he will have to get used to a new bike, but i guarantee he will place better than he has.

James was the first Yamaha rider to ask for new chassis this season if I remember right. Then Rossi and Edwards got it, then Checa. I'm pretty sure Ellison is still on the chattering bike which even a certain number 46 rider found practically impossible to ride.
