Nice! Bayliss was fantastic to watch in 2004 on the Duke, this should add yet more excitement to probably the most anticipated race in 'MotoGP' history.

nah, hes been in wsb for a while now, so i dont think he will be at the front, even though he knows the track well. but he just might play a factor in holding up som people, weather on purpose or not.

Well, no more Gibernau (http://www.motogp.com/en/motogp/motogp_news.htm?menu=news&news_id=18336&championship_id=3&section=1) in MotoGP. Good news for most of you I guess?

I dunno, good for him perhaps. It'd be good for me if I was his replacement.

:(

T'is a shame he's gone out on such a low, will have some good memories of him battling Rossi and winning at Valencia in '01.

i like how he raced. he was very strategic and its a shame he didnt do better with what he had.

I never had any issues with Sete until the Qatar incident..... after that Vale and i made him our mortal enemy........;)

Bye Sete:lol: I for one won't miss you, although i feel there are many less talented riders who have seats, so it is unfortunate i guess.

I can respect him for leaving the sport by choice, knowing that from here on in it would just be a paid gig and not an attempt on the championship. Say what you like about him but I think he was a top racer who had to settle for second best because of Valentino's dominance of the sport. Had Rossi had similar problems in the past as he had this year then the story could easily have been different.

Goddamnit, stop posting in this thread! Every time I see the title from the main forum page it looks like "Bayliss replaces Gibernau for..." and because I'm a wishful (and gullible?) idiot I keep thinking "...DUCATI!!!" or "...2007!!!" You know, cause now Sete just retired so they would be looking for a rider maybe.

And then it just turns out to be this thread again. :shifty:

Sorry. If it's any consolation I keep doing the same, even when it's me posting in here.
