es nes 07-11-2006, 03:30 AM haha ... should i do that for gt4 as well or should i just ask for an addvanced copy of gthd for free?
callaghan 07-11-2006, 04:21 AM quick and easy to get up to speed on this one. best qualifyier so far: 1.14.132
mthielen 07-11-2006, 12:15 PM Form - default lean body
setup - default with perfomance tyres and sports exhaust with final gear of 2.586
do you mean with that we have to use the same setup as last time or can we choose?
Diatribe 07-11-2006, 12:38 PM do you mean with that we have to use the same setup as last time or can we choose?
The MV's default. And I'm assuming the red MV rather than the blue one of the same name (but with lesser BHP).
And which default body form are we using? All mine have been modified previously so is it back to Neutral, Lean In or Lean Out?
callaghan 07-11-2006, 01:14 PM im guessing its the lean in body form, on the ntsc ver. we have lean bike, and lean body options, as well as a neutral option. i did not know that the two mv's have different power ratings.
to get the default settings, just go to the setting page from either the race or your garage, and enter the suspension adjustment page, and look at the bottom, and click on the default button.
DJ Baker 07-11-2006, 02:44 PM Well I'm glad Qualifying is over already. ;)
At first I was disappointed that we were using the Default Bike Set-Up & Default Lean Body, then I was disappointed that it turned out to be almost 1'500 quicker that my settings over the course of the race.
Diatribe, The bike should have the same power regardless of color if you equip both with the Sports Exhaust, so you can run whichever color you prefer. ;)
For what it's worth, 3:58'535 so far for me.

Ahhh, the exhaust was the key there then. Gotta be classic red all the way though 8O
Did a quick 3:49 earlier with a fastest lap of 1:15.4xx, but that was with the pre-set neutral bodyform, so I'm gonna have to go back to that and change it.
callaghan 07-11-2006, 07:09 PM i have to redo my qualifying time, im not sure if its with the sport tyres and exhaust.
CELTIC 07-11-2006, 08:17 PM Form - default lean body
Is the head roll angle 88 or 79 ?
as pal version has lean in or Lean out :?
just so we can confirm we're using the correct one ;)
750F-RM 07-11-2006, 08:42 PM ello :) we should be using 'lean in' in palworld i think :D
es and calla, a much better combo of form and set up this week  8O
my first entry is
qualifying lap - 1:14.667
1 - 1:16.679
2 - 1:13.869
3 - 1:16.341
race - 3:46.889
CELTIC 07-11-2006, 10:26 PM Yeah I'm using Lean In with a head roll angle of 88
but I asked just to make sure ;)
Can you confirm es or calla :D
maybe we should confirm all as for all we Know Pal could be different

what was wrong with the last combo?
as for form, i cant confirm nor denie because my ps2 apparently has gone blind ... again.
es nes 07-11-2006, 10:56 PM calla - could you post the form just to make sure everyones using the same form? tia!
callaghan 08-11-2006, 12:04 AM just got home from work, so give me a few minutes to change and ill post up the form. ill also do the settings as well, just to be on the safe side.

this just shows how vastly different riding styles can be. i thought last weeks was better than this one, though the setting i personally use, naturally, i think make the MV even better. (or i wouldnt use them...;) )
CELTIC 08-11-2006, 12:34 AM Form Exactly the same on the Pal version :D
Cheers Calla ;)
.................................................. ....................
First evenings result :
Qualifier : 1:13:588
1:16:296
1:14:273
1:15:705
4:46:274 Total
callaghan 08-11-2006, 12:34 AM haha...a triple post. and this one makes four!
edit...new qualifying time. 1.14.273
callaghan 08-11-2006, 05:11 AM 4.38.048 for my first entry. fast lap of 1.13.996.
750F-RM 08-11-2006, 06:28 AM what was wrong with the last combo?
the bike was dead, wouldn't move on the suspension at all. and the form made the
rider look like something from a dodgy 19th century circus
CELTIC 08-11-2006, 09:10 AM 4.38.048 for my first entry. fast lap of 1.13.996.
Calla My Heart is dodgy as it is man
Don't you mean 4:48:048 cause your other laps would have to be 1:11:xxx and 1:12:xxx for that to add up ;)
Strange that you and 750F are hitting a faster race lap than your qualifiers :D
Diatribe 08-11-2006, 10:11 AM K, my first official time is...
1:16.611
1:14.677
1:16.648
4:47.936
.. and qualifying with a 1:14.694. Defo more time in that final lap, can probably shed another second overall. And getting a wee bit of air time coming out of the final turn:
callaghan 08-11-2006, 01:13 PM Don't you mean 4:48:048 cause your other laps would have to be 1:11:xxx and 1:12:xxx for that to add up ;)
yes you are correct. its a 4.48. thanks for catching that.
no...its really a 3.48.048. there finally got it right.
Diatribe 08-11-2006, 01:53 PM Dunno how/why but it appears we've all added an extra minute onto our times apart from 750RM
Maybe not used to such a short race.
750F-RM 08-11-2006, 09:42 PM ello all :) i kept dropping it in the race this evening, but i've now got a qualifying lap of 1:13.612
CELTIC 08-11-2006, 10:32 PM 1:13:378 but hit grass on the last turn :(
But on the bright side I have a good ghost to race :D
DJ Baker 08-11-2006, 11:59 PM Looks like Qualifying isn't over after all! Well it is for me anyway. :( Nice work guys!
Diatribe 09-11-2006, 10:08 AM New race time..
1:16.456
1:13.910
1:16.576
3:46.942
Definitely more time there, especially in the last lap.
callaghan 09-11-2006, 06:51 PM just out of curiousity, which bikes are yous racing against? i have to deal with a rsv mille that parks it right on the apex in turn one...and i mean he parks it there...might just as well jump off the bike and put the sidestand down. just wondering, cuz ive got the pace...buut my first lap is around a low 1.19, or high 1.18. and i just cant afford to lose that much time.
CELTIC 09-11-2006, 07:18 PM RSV Mille On Pal Version Also ;)
But overtake him after turn 1 just as i straighten up for the short straight to turn 2 also I have run into him on a couple of occasions :?
Diatribe 09-11-2006, 08:38 PM I seem to get the Aprilia most, and overtake it on the straight after turn 1. Did my fastest time against the Duke though.
Had a few more goes this evening but am getting pretty pissed off. Whenever I seem to be onto a decent time I dump it on that uphill left just before the last right onto the straight :X
Edit:
1:16.371
1:14.199
1:16.227
3:46.797
.. and I'm out. Anything faster than that by me would be a freak accident.
CELTIC 10-11-2006, 12:34 AM Tonight's Update :D
1:16:188
1:14:308
1:15:186
3:45:682
1:13:588 Qualifier
callaghan 10-11-2006, 12:37 AM damn, thats going to be hard to beat! nice job.
CELTIC 10-11-2006, 12:42 AM As usual Calla it's seems it's all down to the best last lap
I must like my Marshmallows well done  the alternative Michelin Man ;)
750F-RM 10-11-2006, 07:47 PM hi all :) my latest time is
qualifying lap - 1:13.612
1 - 1:16.365
2 - 1:14.160
3 - 1:15.595
race - 3:46.120
mthielen 10-11-2006, 08:36 PM I finally got used of riding in pro mode and that after just a week :D
qualifying time:
1'22.705
race time
3'44.036
by the looks of that you all have a lot of work to do :P
but i think i was just lucky on the qualy, but in the race i could go even faster :D
es nes 11-11-2006, 12:50 AM 1'22 qualifing?
callaghan 11-11-2006, 12:54 AM that what i thought too, i think its supposed to be 1.12...
mthielen 11-11-2006, 09:00 AM that what i thought too, i think its supposed to be 1.12...
yes indeed that must be
1'12.705
sorry for the mistake
mthielen 11-11-2006, 10:28 AM BIG problem i just noticedthat i'm riding with the standard exhaustbut it had to be the sports one, will i be disqualified for this?
750F-RM 11-11-2006, 11:24 AM not for me to make rulings, but i can't see you being penalised for running a part that'll give you less bhp than the spec one
midfield is all about power after all
i'm sure nes or calla will comment on this when they see it
edit: no gains for me today, so here's my replays
qualifying lap - 1:13.612 (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/289)
race - 3:46.120 (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/290)
mthielen 11-11-2006, 10:59 PM New fastest race time and this is my final entry
3'43.027
could go faster if i take my fastest laps in the races if done i would go under 3'42 but always blew it.
Fastest opening lap was 1'14.998
Fastest second 1'12.709
Fastest last 1'14.280
CELTIC 12-11-2006, 01:29 AM I've just wasted the last 2 hours trying to find out why the Profile of my riders body/Torso did not match that of mthielen's or 750F's :?
At First I thought someone was using the wrong Form setting :P
Turns out that Rider hight effects the profile of the rider a great deal in the untucked position
IE - Min rider hight of 160 will give a low head and tucked in elbow position (me picture 1)
A max hight of 190 gives a totally more upright stance with the head about a foot higher and an elbow pointing outwards (mthielen Picture 3)
The Following Photos Show Me with a Minimum 160 rider height
750F Somewhere in between and
mthielen who I believe must be using max 190 rider hight
Can you Imagine my panic when I saw mthielen's and 750's replays
I finally maxed out my rider hight and got the same profile as mthielen's PHEW
Matt W. 12-11-2006, 02:00 AM Guys I'm bailing on this round.
I've got no time, and I don't think I'd be that competetive anyways.
DJ Baker 12-11-2006, 05:21 AM Final Submission
#13 DJ Baker - Backmarker Racing
Qualifying: Did not attend. ;)
Race: 3'57.974
Once again, I'm Dumbfounded by some of the times being posted. I couldn't even learn anything from the replays posted by mthielen & 750F-RM since they're PAL versions. Hopefully some of you fast guys here in the States will post some later so I can at least see what it looks like to be fast. ;)
callaghan 12-11-2006, 05:26 AM i cant comprehend doing 1.12's on this bike. i could barley get into the 13's on qualifying. i would drop it ten times for every one clean lap. here is to the next race.

i have a very easy answer to that calla i think weboth used the neutral body setup and you used the lean in body setup, maybe that's your problem
mthielen 12-11-2006, 09:08 AM Also what you guys don't know is that i've laped this track more then a 1000 times, for another competition which was i semi-pro mode, but still i knew all the right spots to gain some time maybe that's why i'm faster on this track then anyone
For exemple on a 600ccin semi-pro mode the closed anyone has gotten was 1 sec, i've done more then that tousand laps to get under the 1'10 mark, which is a real performence on accordingto some people :D
Diatribe 12-11-2006, 09:17 AM Aye, that time on a 600 there is damn impressive.
Awesome debut as well that, put in some astounding times there so congrats :)
Next week I'm only gonna have minimal PS2 time as I have 3 essays to due then am away for the weekend to see SSSSLLLLAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEERRRRRRR twice in London. Which is a shame as I like Trial Mountain though suspect I'd only get blown into the dust there anyway.
DJ Baker 12-11-2006, 10:00 AM i have a very easy answer to that calla i think weboth used the neutral body setup and you used the lean in body setup, maybe that's your problem
I think it will be your problem mthielen, since this is a spec series & you were supposed to be using the lean in body form. :naughty:
Might be a good idea to take a look a the rules.

didn't see this one, i still thought thatis was default setting so i usedthe default neutral body position
so now my best racetime is back to 3'44.036
CELTIC 12-11-2006, 02:55 PM You will need to post the replay for it to count mthielen as the last replay you posted was a neutral form setting as riders head was always along the centre line of the bike ;)
The problem with these races are remembering to reset form etc after messing around on other courses  and it's very easily done :?
mthielen 12-11-2006, 04:05 PM don't have it anymore so you can give 0 points for the race and disqualify me, still have 1 point for the pole position
callaghan 12-11-2006, 04:15 PM as it stand right now, i would have to say this; the rules have to apply to everyone...which means, that if someone isnt using the same bike settings as everyone else, or the same form as everyone else, their replay should not count. As DJ Baker posted earlier:

one point of this series was to get everyone on a level playing field, using the exact same set-up and form. the rules and setup were posted clearly, and to avoid any cunfusion in the rider forms, due to ntsc and pal version differences, i posted the exact default rider form and setup to be used. unfortunately, mistakes happen, and i understand this; however, i dont think its fair to everyone else, if someone is allowed to enter a round, without having to abide by the rules.

i understand this, but i used the good setup and body form for my quali lap so that one should count
callaghan 12-11-2006, 04:29 PM check this out. (http://www.motogpboards.com/showthread.php?t=692) as you can see, i put that the qualifying is still under review. i am unable to see your replay, as i have the ntsc version. if someone else would like to verify, i would be very greatful!
Diatribe 12-11-2006, 07:16 PM http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/295
Bit unfair on you esnes that you're not racing in these though I can understand why.
es nes 12-11-2006, 07:43 PM i cant :(
Diatribe 12-11-2006, 10:07 PM Ah the disc reading problems? I thought it was that because you'd set up the bikes you'd have a bit of an advantage over the rest of us.
Hope it gets sorted soon, I had to have my PS2 repaired a year ago 'cos of the same problem.
es nes 12-11-2006, 10:52 PM yeah, but, tbh i wasnt planning on doing many rounds this "season" because i was starting to get blown on out TT so i wanted to take a break from playing. i probably need to adjust the laser or something :(
