I know you guys are streetbike oriented and road racing fans, but does anyone else in here like dirtbikes? If not, your missing a lot of great motorcycle racing.

Case in point, the International Six Day Enduro (ISDE) is about to get underway. This annual race is a brutal test of motorcycle riding abilities and general rider tenacity. No doubt one of the toughest motorcycle races there is, with a long history of excitement and fantastic finishes.

I've heard of the six day enduro, not sure if I've seen any of it in the past. I don't really follow any of the dirt racing series but do watch the odd race from time to time. To be honest I don't enjoy it as much as road racing. There was a good video up on YouTube or somewhere of the pikes peak race that I watched recently, that's well worth a look.

But watching and doing are totally different things. I am gonna sell my SV650 shortly, hopefully in exchange for an XR400. :D

The XR400 is a great off-road bike, wish I still has mine. I'm sure you will enjoy it if you do the trade.

Figured there would not be much interest in off-road racing here. It's kinda hard to follow since they take place over such a wide area. Normally about 80 miles of nasty trails, not one inch covered twice. Television coverage is just not going to happen.

By far the best enduro rider is a guy from the UK, David Knight (http://www.knighter.net). He absolutely rules anything and everything enduro. Quite a rider. Been mopping up over here in the states.

Endurocross is gaining popularity. There is one next weekend in Las Vegas (http://www.endurocross.com) that will be shown on the Speed channel Saturday, January 13, 2007. Should be fun to watch.
