heh. i knew the pace would quicker than my 1'18.827. TUs already beat it by a few seconds ... is there a replay up somewhere?

ah, it seemed a bit quick, but, i wouldnt hold it against you to achieve it ... i think qualifing times will be in the 17s, maybe high 16s.

6'41.426 with a 1'19.212 best race lap

[edit - ive been down to a 6'39, but, i keep having weird things happen like boncing off the curb on the last corner or having the bike stand up at the apex and run out of road at the exit. i get faster as my tyres wear though.

im devolpong the same love/hate relationship that ive for nordschliefe for this place. its great until something weird/silly happens]

Mr Triumph also got dressed in the dark this morning.

Finished with a good time on my first 5 lap run but havn't been able to finish another race, largely thanks to the Kawasaki AI :@

To quote the great Barry Sheene, "black, round ones".

Nah, mediums for the race. Have gone as low as 1:17.5xx with them only to dump it on the next lap, so defo more time there in qualifying (with the softs) as well.

after half an hour of running on the previous rounds set up, which is way too soft, netted "ragged edge racing" a 1.18.129 in practice.

Down to a clean 1'17.382 on the R6. Ran a 1'17.173 previous to that, but ran half a wheel's width too wide on the final turn.

A high '15 is definitely possible.

That is bloody fast. Hopefully I'll be able to improve on it. Best first sector time is 24.8xxx so far.

wow, the cbr will not do that. no way, no how. maybe a low 1.17.x. but i doubt anyone will get it into the 15 range. iirc, on the r1, i was able to run a mid 1.15. and that was a pretty good lap.

A pity isn't it? I'm seriously thinking of dumping my sponsors for Yamaha. Might even put Suzuki through the paces as their bikes fit my riding style (aggressive and high-revving). Not sure about the Gixxer 1000 though; somehow I feel it's a bit lacking compared to the other litre bikes.

Happy New Year everyone!

1'18.358 & 6'42.091 is the best I've been able to pull off so far. Figured I'd better post it since I'll be driving from Detroit to Phoenix the rest of this week & don't know if I'll get everything set-up out there before the deadline.

Good Luck & Good Racing!

you do know that you can't cut the last left corner befor T1, do you?

03-01-2007, 10:34 PM
well, i'm getting some better laps going now (best 1st lap 1:20.6xx, best flying lap 1:18.8xx), but getting
5 in a row is proving to be a pain

it all seems to be going ok, but then i get spat off :wall: various places, there seems no routine to it :?

enjoyable track on the ZX6, all the same 8O :D

Of course, and have been as low as 24.8 through that first sector only to chuck it away later on.

And aye, 750F-RM, I'm having the same problems. Have been as low as 1:16.8 in the race but again chuck it away later on. The 7 laps at Laguna will be worse though.

i must retract my previous statment...i have dropped the time down to a clean 1.17.132. this thing gets killed going up the back hill and down the front straight. all the other 600ish bikes are so much faster, the r6 destroys it down the front straight! i guess this round will be damage control for me.

i had put in a 6.33. but after reviewing the replay, after the first tunnel, i took the left, then clipped some grass on the right side. it was pretty hard to get 5 laps and not be spit off right before turn 1. this shyte isnt motocross, there shouldnt be any jumps in this game.

i played for about three hours today, and not one time to submit...pititful.

If you race along the far right side of the straight leading to turn one, eventually it'll merge with the rest of the track. Jumps land smoother if you use that shoulder/runoff. For best results, make sure the bike is tilted ever so slightly inward before landing.

New times..

Q: 25.086, 54.293, 1:16.094

Race: 6:28.553
L1: 1:19.565
1:16.863
1:17.433
1:16.957
1:17.735

There is more time there, but I'm not sure how many more clean runs I have in me (that was only something like my fourth). The jump I tend to take straight down the middle but it's not sure to work 100% of the time.

outstanding time man! a 16 in the race really is great.

your first split is actually slower than mine, but the second split is a second faster than mine, and then your about a second and a half in front at the line. maybe i need to give hrc a call...

well, my pitiful attempts of 3 hours today (argh I hate busy weeks :( ) have givin me a total time of 6'43.026...

can't wait for laguna seca now... hate that track with a passion but atleast I will get some practise time this time around....

grrr :wall: start, good lap, get spat off - restart, good lap, get spat off - restart, good lap...

edit: finally, 5 laps in the same race  might be my final time, i'm off for some testing at laguna

anyways,

1 - 1:20.473
2 - 1:18.931
3 - 1:19.038
4 - 1:19.023
5 - 1:18.928

race - 6:36.393

whilst not outstandingly fast, all 4 flying laps are within a 10th of each other 8O

here's the replay (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/379)

last turn, first lap, maximum commitment :D

Amazing times this week Diatribe you literally got the GSXR flying this week ;)
A well earned win you deserve it

PS. You do know Kerosene is not allowed

also nice times from Calla - someone had to push him :D

And a special mention to my team mate great time 750F I know how far you pushed ;)

Unfortunately I DNF'd due to lack of track time  so keep that top spot warm for me Diatribe ;)

Needed that result as the next few weeks I'm not gonna get much PS2 time, have got a 4000 word essay due for Thursday, another 4500 words for the 23rd, and then exams start. Will make sure I at least put some times in though, especially now I've somehow stumbled (temporarily) into the championship lead
