are there any restrictions on use of concrete patches?

as long as they arent used to straight line the places like the s-bends between the second hairpin and the first tunnel. but, at the exit of the last corner and the exit of the last chicane is fine.

i try to stay off the curbs here because they hit the fairing and throw the bike offline.

callaghan
15-01-2007, 06:56 AM
haha, my bike loves the curbs. helps to keep the rear end loose...and sometimes (yeah, unrealistic) it even brings me up on the curb, and tightens my line!! ill have to stay clean i guess. ;)

Softs for qualifying and mediums for the race I'm using, yes it's Pro mode, and yes we all make a lot of set up changes. I can send a PM if you want, explaining what I've changed.

welcome to the boards Dario-zg. this is part of a championship that some members on the board are participating in. if you scan through the threads in "the pitlane" forum, youll find the rules and registration thread, and that should give you all the details about the championship.

my qualifying time is dropping...but not fast enough, yet. down to a 1.55.139. that is a smokin' time there diatribe...

just did my first race, and wound up with a 9.45.177.

i need about 10-15 more hp, and maybe a diet too, but damn this bike turns like no other!

callaghan
16-01-2007, 05:47 AM
damn this sucks. i fugured i would try the r6 out, just to see if i was missing anything, and it took me only 4 laps to hit a 1.54.766. unreal man, this bike is so much faster, it feels lighter, more nimble, and accelerates like no 600 has the right to! not fair...lol.

I've read the rules but I'm still not sure how can I join the championship...
My best time for now is:

qualifying lap : 1'55.519

1st : 2'00.119
2nd : 1'57.548
3rd : 1'57.227
4th : 1'57.912
5th : 1'58.102

race : 9'50.908

Is that fast enough to join some team or to form my own?

unreal man, [the R6] is so much faster, it feels lighter, more nimble, and accelerates like no 600 has the right to! not fair...lol.

That's exactly what I said when I ran it on Infineon. While I struggled on the CBR, I ran a rather relaxed and not-so-perfect run on the R6 that destroyed my best effort on the Honda to the tune of nearly a half second.

nah, but it would not be hard to reproduce. if youd like, ill run another few laps tonight and upload it, cool?

the only good thing about using the cbr, is that its piss easy to be really consistant.

es nes
17-01-2007, 12:40 AM
if you wouldnt mind? id like to have a ghost to chase around for a little while.

yeah, i noticed that when doing a few laps. but, to be honest, i thought the cbr handled better than the r6 with the r6 having the motor to make up for it.

callaghan
17-01-2007, 02:45 AM
alright, here (http://http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/395) it is for ya. it only took me 3 laps after dinner and putting the kids to bed...and to think i tried for a few hours to get the cbr up to a 1.55.x. mid season team change?

you are absolutely on the money about the cbr handling better, but on a track like this one, the motor on the yamaha more than makes up the difference. as i had the yamaha set up, i pushed pretty bad coming out of the corners, but it wasnt unbearable...just annoying. i actually saved the whole replay, took 5.50 minutes to get there.

edit: the time is a 1.54.574...pipped diatribe by .004 ;)

all you need to do is go here (http://www.motogpboards.com/showthread.php?t=734) and type in a bike which you will use for the remainder of the championship, and a number (of which is not in use by another member,) and a team name (optional) as well as your gear, also optional. that should get you registered, and then just join in, but you have to ask es nes if you can join this round, you may have to wait until round 6.

im done qualifying here. 1.55.139, and that was with saving a low side, and bumping the curb...just a little. funny thing is, i can run consistent low 56's in the race on mediums, with the odd 55 thrown in for good measure.

ive been trying, but, the cbr just doesnt have the power...there is now way i could catch the front two. i would have to shave a second off each lap to be where diatribe is, and that surely isnt going to happen.

im still pissed that with almost no time on the r6, i was able to put in a .7 second faster lap than i can with the cbr.

thanks dario, on a track like GVS, it just doesnt have the balls to keep up. there are too many long-ish straights, where the weight and power just gives it s handicap.

Thank ye. My replays are up but they follow pretty much the same lines as my 7* Honda replay, minus the ridiculous amounts of horsepower so it's up to 750F if he wants to sort it out. You're probably better off sticking with Callaghan's replay(s).
