Dario-zg 13-02-2007, 12:26 PM This is unbeliveable...
I was dirving this stage for about a 20 laps, and I coldn't go under 1'11.5xx.
I knew that I' can't lose a sec and a half just by driving mistakes...
So I was trying everything, changed a lot of setups, tried different approaches to the turns but nothing went good.
When I already wanted to give up, just for fun i tried different riding form....
First lap - BUM  1'10.3xx
I really didn't know this can make such a difference. Looks like there's still much to learn for me... ;)

mthielen 16-02-2007, 09:51 PM how else could it be at my favourite circuit :D
last race at this track was the same (remember) in the street series , i took the lead in the race but got disqualified for using the wrong body setup :S
mthielen 16-02-2007, 10:06 PM just on other question:
what if 2 drivers have the same time?
At this moment Diatribe and 750F-RM have exactly the same on :D
750F-RM 16-02-2007, 10:23 PM my bike looks better, so probably i get the nod
seriously though, i'd expect same time = same pts, mods?
Dario-zg 16-02-2007, 10:41 PM I'm also at 5'59, I'll try to get closer to Mthielen later today, or tommorow. ;)
DJ Baker 17-02-2007, 03:29 AM just on other question:
what if 2 drivers have the same time?
At this moment Diatribe and 750F-RM have exactly the same on :D
I'm guessing neither one of them is done quite yet.
If it did happen, I'm guessing they would split the points for two positions. For instance, if they tied for 3rd they would split the points for 3rd & 4th.
callaghan 17-02-2007, 03:29 AM yeah, if two people have the exact time, they will be given an equal amount of points.
example: if both people place 3rd, then 3rd and 4th place will be awarded 16pts. the next fastest will recieve 5th place and 11pts.
750F-RM 17-02-2007, 06:40 AM looks like our series organisers aren't quite in agreement on this one
as dj said though, it's not over yet. it probably won't be an issue
mthielen 17-02-2007, 09:00 AM yea i know it's not over yet but just asking as i saw it yesterday
callaghan 17-02-2007, 01:09 PM es nes replied while i was typing my response, and i didnt realize he was online at the time. i sent him a pm, but have not had a reply from him. i thought i would make the call, since i put the points up and stuff, but we will get this sorted out, if not for this thread, but for the future incase it does happen.
es nes 17-02-2007, 03:04 PM fastest race lap has been in the mid 1'12s for me.
and what calla said works for me, though i doubt itll end that way.
es nes 17-02-2007, 03:33 PM callas fat aZZ'ed hrc second team mate keeps blocking me through the first chicane :P
mthielen 17-02-2007, 03:36 PM then you have to pass him befor the chicane ;)

Diatribe 18-02-2007, 06:00 AM I've had a real crappy week and am not sure why I'm up now at 6am local time, but 6:02.260 is gonna be my final time. So it looks like a tie 750F!
Anyway, congrats mthielen on an amazing qualifier and race.
750F-RM 18-02-2007, 07:47 AM a tie it is matey, yep :D my replay - round 9/6:02.260 (http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/451)
Diatribe 18-02-2007, 07:02 PM My replay: http://www.ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/452
.. and that's just about me done for this game. A rather hollow single and team title given the ever decreasing number of racers, but I've got just about everything I can out the game and am not really enjoying my time on it anymore. Valencia's not a circuit I like and I'm back in Milan on Thursday for a few days which I need to prepare for, so my time would be very limited anyway.
I may do a bit more hotlapping over time, but other than that all I can say is thanks Es Nes and Callaghan for running the last 3 series, it's been fun. And I'll still be around to annoy you in the other forums, particularly since Rossi loaned his title out to some American for the year ;)
Just roll on Tourist Trophy 2 (hopefully on the PS2)!
Dario-zg 18-02-2007, 10:00 PM .. and that's just about me done for this game.
Too bad man... You've been one hell of a driver... ;)
Respect.

I'll tell ya, you're a phenomenal talent, and it'll suck to have you leave us for any period of time. I remember the hell of an introduction I had when you stepped into the High-Speed Ring with me. Even back then with barely two weeks of pro mode practice under your belt, you represented a massively unreal challenge. I had to dig real deep to pull past you.
Do stick around for a few informal rounds of hotlapping. If there's a track you like, pick it and I'll roll with ya. In the meantime, all the best.
