Stoner absolutely dominating the free practices so far..... his odds are growing smaller every day...

Fair play to Guintoli making it onto the third row, good stuff. Have always felt a bit sorry for him as he was a class act in 250's but was always stuck in privateer teams, and isn't in any better a situation now.

And at the apparently most un-Ducati track on the calendar...

Dunlop are certainly making the unlimited qualifying tyres pay, I just hope they can transfer that to race pace soon. Once again it's looking like a 50/50 split between Rossi and Stoner.

Fantastic race. It was great to see Capirossi and Hayden back on the podium and good to see the Honda losing streak come to an end (I'm not a great Honda fan, it's just nice to see them competitive).

It was very interesting to hear that Loris was riding with a different engine that better suited his riding style. Apparently the Sachsenring doesn't burn through the petrol like most other circuits so they were able to set him up with one that had the characteristics he likes. Hopefully other circuits will make the setup an option again as it clearly works.

As for Rossi, what can you say? The guy's a genius but he's still human.

Wonder where osg's got to

Not much else to say about today that Dom didn't, except Jonathan Rea is really starting to look impressive in BSB. Shame really that over here we groom riders seemingly for World Superbikes rather than working up through 125's and 250's, plus British riders aren't as attractive to big name sponsors. With Bradley Smith improving though, hopefully he can pave the way for future young Brits, especially with interest in MotoGP growing every year in Britain (and so creating a market for these big GP sponsors).

Bizarre race:eek:  Rossi falls, Stoner fades......... but hey, i'm human also, and can gives props to Pedrosa, who utterly dominated, and Hayden who rode a great race to come from outside the top 10 again in consecutive races.....

The championship is wide open now, with the Honda's seemingly finding their feet it will only muddle the top 5 or 6 further making Rossi and Stoners jobs harder if they happen to make any further mistakes like Vale did yesterday :(

To be honest, i still think it's a battle between 2, but if Dani starts winning regularly and Stoner and Rossi fail to podium........... well, it's game on then isn't it?
