Help!! needed to book race tickets for hubby 30th this year!!!???

Im looking at silverstone tickets and have not a scooby- dont wanna spend too much- not too flush! but is there a half way house- i dont want to just get admission if we have not got a hope in .... of seeing any of the race but dont want to buy a seat or place and get it so wrong and you cant move etc etc! help is for his 30th as a suprise and wanna get the day right as far to travel etc-
also does anyone know when they are confirm the 20th june as i know if i bk before confirmed i could loose money. Also i assume the bigger engine races 900cc or whatever its is now is on sunday as usual!?
